British Bridal Collections 2014: Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham Bridal Collection s/s 2014

One of my favourite British designers,

Jenny Packham

, launched her

2014 bridal collection

in the UK this week at a sumptuous champagne afternoon tea held at the

London Mandarin Oriental

. Having first launched the collection during

International Bridal week in New York in October

, this was the highly anticipated official UK launch.

The London Mandarin Oriental was also the location of the photo shoot for the

2014 Bridal collection

providing the perfect lavish backdrop whilst still understated enough to let the dresses do the talking!

Rose, my personal favourite

I just adore the simple and very feminine silhouettes of Jenny Packham bridal gowns, and the 2014 collection has more than a sprinkling of these iconic shapes along with some new and exciting additions. All of the gowns have the unmistakable Jenny Packham look which makes her one of the most recognisable bridal designers of the times.

With slim shapes and intricate beading you get the feel of Downton Abbey elegance

Alongside the flowing A-line skirts and sumptuous satin of the Golden age of Hollywood glamour

The collection takes all of these influences and creates the perfect mix of modern and vintage which will appeal to many different brides.

From the Alexia gown with the perfect combination of Edwardian styling with a thoroughly modern twist.

To Nanette which blends the sleek Hollywood satin glamour with a definite contemporary edge.

With many high profile admirers, Jenny Packham dresses are always gracing the red carpet and wedding aisles the world over. The new 2014 Bridal Collection will be no exception with many brides bound to choose 'the dress' for them from this breath-taking collection.

With love,
